Wal-Mart To Stop Selling Kindles

Amazon is known for making enemies with its partners. The latest company to experience friction with the online giant is Wal-Mart, who said today that they will no longer sell Kindles in their stores.

In a memo sent out to store managers yesterday, Wal-Mart explains, “We have recently made the business decision to not carry Amazon tablets and eReaders beyond our existing inventory and purchase commitments. This includes all Amazon Kindle models current and recently announced.”

Reuters has more: “Wal-Mart said the decision was consistent with its overall merchandising strategy.
