Last month we told you about the DoGooder Nonprofit Video Awards—a celebration of the best in nonprofit video. Members of YouTube’s Nonprofit Program were invited to submit their non-profit videos for a chance to win recognition, prizes and spread the word about their organizations. Submissions are now closed and starting this week you are invited to check out the submissions and vote for your favorite.
Submissions can be viewed at youtube.com/nonprofitvideoawards and voting is open until Wednesday March 28. Visitors can vote once per day and are invited to vote often and share this great opportunity to recognize not only nonprofit video, but some great organizations. According to a press release, “Cisco, the global leader in making innovation possible through network technology, will provide $14,000 in cash prizes and a similar amount worth of products to be divided amongst the winning organizations.”
You are invited to vote on submissions in four categories—Best Small Organization Video, Best Medium Organization Video, Best Large Organization Video and Best Storytelling Video. Prizes include having the video features on YouTube’s homepage on April 5, $3,500 in donations and some great products from Cisco, free registration to next year’s Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC), and special $2,500 prize grants from the Case Foundation for the four most “Fearless” videos.
So what are you waiting for? Go vote and help spread the word about these great nonprofit organizations.
