Vostu: social games with real-time multiplayer more likely to go viral

Incorporating real-time multiplayer interactions in social games makes it three times more likely a player will send invitations to friends who aren’t already playing the game, according to Vostu.

The Latin American social game company made the discovery after reviewing the data from GolMania, a casual soccer game with a single player campaign and real-time multiplayer matches. Vostu found that GolMania players who played in multiplayer matches were three times more likely to invite their friends to start playing the game than players who had only played the single player campaign.
