Vivid Games looks to follow up the success of their recent blockbuster Real Boxing with an all-new combat action-adventure game inspired by Greek mythology entitled Godfire: Rise of Prometheus.
The game will be released in early 2014, and is set to utilize the power of the Unreal 3 engine, promising to bring console-style graphics to mobile.
Throughout the story, gamers will take the role of Prometheus as he battles his way through a slew of mythological monsters and Titan bosses, while at the same time solving a series of puzzles in his attempts to steal the all-powerful Godfire Spark from the gods and deliver it to the humans.
“With Godfire: Rise of Prometheus, we’re building upon the high standards in graphics and gameplay that we achieved in Real Boxing and taking the Unreal 3 engine to fantastic new heights” said Remi Koscielny, CEO Vivid Games via press release. “To help with this process, we’ve partnered with Oscar-nominated animation studio Platige Image, to work with us on the design, animation and other graphical elements of the game. We’re also giving the game its own distinct visual style by blending the familiar classical Greek aesthetic with new and exciting futuristic elements.”
