Visual translation app Waygo launches on Android

Visual translation app Waygo is now available on Android devices, allowing users to translate Chinese and Japanese characters into English text. Previously released on iOS, the app is recommended for both language learners and tourists / travelers, as it aims to allow users to experience Chinese and Japanese culture “just like a local.” The app can be used to translate Chinese and Japanese characters without an internet connection.

Both the Android and iOS versions of Waygo offer the ability to translate single or multiple lines of text into English using a device’s camera.
