Vine has announced the latest updates for its app on iOS and Android, which give users more control over how they view and share Vines. In a blog post, Vine said these updates were some of the most-requested features from users.
The first update allows users to customize the order in which Vines appear on a user’s profile page. To be specific, when viewing an account page, users can tap the icon next to ‘Posts’ to sort their view to the newest, oldest or most popular Vines on the account.
Next, Android users now have the ability to edit a Vine’s caption for a ‘brief period’ after they’ve shared a post. Users can enter the ‘…’ menu after they’ve posted a Vine to change its caption. This feature is coming soon to the iOS app.
Finally, users on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus now have access to 3D Touch shortcuts, which allow them to hard press on the app’s icon to quickly create Vines or open the app’s Explore page.
Vine is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Vine recently celebrated its third birthday, and launched its Trends page to allow users to discover popular trends on the video-sharing platform.
