Vine Raises Age Limit on App

After complaints that the site has been used to distribute pornographic videos, Twitter’s new video sharing site Vine has raised the age limit for users.

Consumers who download the app must now be at least 17 years of age or older. The app lists a who host of reasons behind this rating in the App Store, likely to protect themselves against any complaints and responsibility. The listing warns about “Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes,”
“Frequent/Intense Sexual Content or Nudity,” and “Infrequent/Mild Profanity or Crude Humor,” for instance.
