Android users with a 2010-era operating system can now watch Vine videos on their phones – but not create them.
Gingerbread Android users will be limited to exploring popular Vines, checking out trending tags, and browsing themed channels.
They’ll also be able to revine posts to share with followers.
Why the major restriction? The whole point of Vine is to easily create your own looped 6-second social video clips.
Vine says “device limitations” prevent Android 2.3 users from recording their own Vines.
Gingerbread Android users, will you still check out the app?
Vine for Android is available on Google Play.
