Vimeo Gets More Connected With HTML5 Universal Player

Vimeo is the latest online video site to jump on the HTML5 bandwagon with its new universal player, which is set to go live later today. The universal player will make viewing Vimeo videos a whole lot easier for iPhone and iPad users, who have had issues with the site’s Flash player in the past. Although Vimeo already offered a mobile-friendly website that worked on both iPhone and Android devices, the universal player will allow mobile users to view distributed content, such as embedded Vimeo videos, which was not possible in the past.
