Veronica Mars Film Raises Almost $2 Million in a Day on Kickstarter
The cult girl-detective series Veronica Mars may come to the silver screen after years of talk but little studio action. Creator and writer Rob Thomas and actress Kristen Bell too the idea to Kickstarter, and, after a single day, the projecthas almost reached its $2 million goal.

Creator and writer Rob Thomas and actress Kristen Bell too the idea to Kickstarter, and, after a single day, the project has almost reached its $2 million goal. (As of this writing, the project had raised $1.9 million.)
Warner Brothers owns the rights to Veronica Mars, but allowed Thomas and Bell to try their hand at a Kickstarter campaign, Thomas said in the project’s blurb.
