USPS Using Social Media Outlets to Preview 2012 Forever Stamps

Recent 2012 stamps previewed were the Cherry Blossoms Centennial, the Edgar Rice Burroughs, Love Ribbons stamps and Black Heritage Stamp. Each stamp honors a particular aspect in American history. When the stamp is revealed on the social media page, a simple but meaningful explanation is made for the honor.

The Postal Service is offering sneak peeks at some of its 2012 stamps one at a time, using social media outlets to reach broader, more diverse audience is an initiative that began July 18, 2011.

Some of the stamps previewed so far are the Cherry Blossoms Centennial, the Edgar Rice Burroughs, Love Ribbons stamps and Black Heritage stamp. Each stamp honors a particular aspect in our history. When the stamp is revealed on the social media page, a simple but meaningful explanation is made in its honor.
