Update On The Android SMS Bug

In a previous post I wrote about a bug in Android that is causing text messages to be sent to the wrong destination. The bug appears to be triggered by receiving text messages that originated from e-mail systems. Companies like Bank of America and T-Mobile that send SMS alerts to large groups of people often do so using e-mail-to-SMS gateways.

Google has been able to reproduce the problem and says they have a fix that they will deploy shortly.
