Univision Interactive Media Sets Record with Coverage of Chilean Miners
Univision Interactive Media compiled statistics for coverage of the rescue of the formerly trapped miners from the northern Atacama desert in Chile by Noticias Univision and mobile site Univision Móvil.
Noticias Univision drew 2.6 million page views Tuesday, up 22 percent from its previous record, which was set Tuesday, Sept. 14. Its total of 221,000 unique cookies was 16 percent higher than its previous record, which was set Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, the day Barack Obama was elected president of the United States, and its 290,000 visits were up 18 percent from its previous record, also set on Election Day 2008.
