UK Increasingly Choosing Social Over Search, Suggests Data [STUDY]

UK consumers, particularly those in the key 18-24 and 25-34 demographics, are increasingly sourcing a lot of their online content via social media, as opposed to search, reveals a new study.

Video search technology company blinkx polled UK internet users of all ages in May and discovered that 43 percent of 18-24 year-olds choose social media over search to find online content.

More than one-third (34 percent) of 25-34 year-olds and close to a fifth (22 percent) of 35-44 year-olds also favour social over search.
