50,000 Verified Twitter Profiles: Key Statistics, Facts & Figures [INFOGRAPHIC]
Each week we publish a bulletin that looks at the most-recently verified profiles on Twitter, highlighting the biggest celebrities, brands and businesses that have been given that all-important tick over the previous seven days.
Last week, the total number of verified accounts on Twitter blasted through an important benchmark: 50,000.
Even with this heady total, just 0.005 percent of profiles across Twitter have been verified – 45 percent of these are in the U.S. and a further 20 percent in the UK, with the remaining 35 percent scattered around the world.
