What would you do if a loved one suddenly went missing? This happened to the Smith family of May 1 when Gavin Smith, father of three, disappeared one night without a trace.
Evan Smith, the son of this missing 20th Century Fox executive has taken his search to Twitter – and he could really use your help.
57-year-old Gavin Smith was visiting a friend in Oak Park, California, planning to spend the night. He left his friend’s home in his black 2000 Mercedes 420E class car at around 10 p.m. and no one has seen or heard from him since.
His wife reported him missing after he failed to pick up his youngest son Wednesday morning, May 2. He hasn’t called or gone into work. He hasn’t used credit cards. Nothing. Just gone. And it has been just over a week now.
Gavin Smith is 6 feet, 6 inches tall, 210 pounds, with grey hair with blonde highlights and green eyes. He has a goatee, a 5-inch scar on his calf, a 4-inch scar on his inner right wrist and he was last seen wearing purple pants and black and gray shoes. And the Mercedes has padded storage racks and tinted windows.
Here’s a video telling a bit more of the story, though there really doesn’t seem to be much to tell:
Some commenters on various sites have suggested that Smith may have driven off of the road somewhere, but who knows? Do you have any ideas? And can you help this family spread the word?
