Twitter is Outraged by Justin Bieber’s Grammy Snub

He’s the second most-popular Twitter user, and is the focus of a cult-like obsession on social media. And when Justin Bieber was passed over in what many fans saw as a grievous snub at last night’s Grammy Awards, his fans found an outlet for their frustrations on Twitter.

According to Trendistic, @JustinBieber was being mentioned in 4.8% of all tweets at its peak last night around 12:30 Eastern. As the Grammy Awards was broadcast around the world, Bieber fans made this a hot Twitter topic for 6 hours yesterday, expressing their regret that he didn’t win and their confidence that he was on to bigger and better things.

Bieber lost “Best New Artist” at the Grammys, to instrumentalist Esperanza Spalding.
