Continuing their successful expansion across the region, IMS, Latin America’s largest independent digital agency and the exclusive ad sales partner of Twitter in the region, has launched Twitter sales in two new South American markets: Peru and Ecuador.
Since being selected by Twitter in 2012 to lead its Latin America sales efforts, IMS has launched dedicated digital ad teams for Twitter in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and more.
And over the last year, global brands like Nike, Samsung, and PlayStation have capitalized on IMS’ presence to execute Latin America-specific Twitter ad campaigns.
David Rayo, Managing Director of IMS Social, expanded,
“Twitter is a brand that is successfully capitalizing on the region’s rapidly-growing Internet and mobile penetration, and with the added global spotlight of the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games, many forward-thinking brands are looking for the best way to enter the market now.”
Specifically, Latin America has more than 150 million Internet consumers and that rate is growing 12% annually (vs. a paltry 1% YOY growth in the U.S.).
As for Peru and Ecuador, the two new Twitter ad markets, the former boasts more than 10.7 million Internet consumers and the latter, 6.6 million.
