Turner, PGA.com Delivering PGA Championship in 3D

Turner Sports and the PGA announced today that it would be presenting the 2010 PGA Championship in 3D.

Consumers with 3D-capable television sets or computer monitors can watch the action from the 12th and 17th holes from Whistling Straits in three dimensions.

Unfortunately, you still need to wear the silly glasses.

The 3D content will be available on television through Comcast, Cox, Time Warner, DirecTV, Bright House and Cablevision and to visitors to PGA.com.

3D has been making the rounds on sports television for months, with ESPN televising the World Cup and Home Run Derby in 3D, and select other events, including The Masters golf tournament, getting the 3D treatment.
