Tufts Asks Class Of 2018 Applicants: “What Does #YOLO Mean To You?"

Class of 2018 hopefuls can prove their social savvy to Tufts University thanks to the school’s unconventional application.

Specifically, Tufts has issued a writing prompt to prospective students that asks them to answer, “What does #YOLO mean to you?”

The supplemental writing prompt, which encourages applicants to “think outside the box” and “[be] playful if that suits you,” reads,

“The ancient Romans started it when they coined the phrase “Carpe diem.” Jonathan Larson proclaimed “No day but today!” and most recently, Drake explained You Only Live Once (YOLO).
