The 20 Most Popular Brands On Twitter [STATS] @YouTube remains the top, most-followed brand on Twitter, with its close to 40 million followers placing it well ahead of all other brands, including the official @Twitter profile. 2. Well, prepare for a shock: nearly half of girls between the ages of 6 and 12 have their own phone! And if cellphones in the hands of tweens surprise you, their social media habits definitely will. 3. 58% Will Purchase Based On Friends’ Social Media Recommendations [STUDY] Almost six in ten U.S. social media users will go on to make a purchase based on a friend’s social media post, with more than one quarter (28 percent) of 18-34 year-olds ‘fairly’ or ‘very likely’ to buy following social recommendations of friends, reveals a new study. 4. 7 Of The Most Creative Twitter Campaigns When Twitter filed with the SEC in November 2013, the social media platform had more than 232 million active monthly users, with 53 million in the U.S. With numbers like that, it’s obvious that Twitter can be used as a powerful marketing tool.
