Top 10 Stocks Mentioned On Twitter [CHART]
In July 2012, Twitter introduced “cashtags,” the treatment of stock symbols as searchable hashtags.
For example, clicking on “$GE” in a tweet leads to search results akin to those you get for a hashtag, so you can stay up-to-date on market news related to any specific stock.
Statista just put together a chart of the top 10 cashtags most talked about on Twitter in August 2013.
The #1? Apple ($AAPL).
