Facebook alerted developers to some time-related changes that will take effect April 1 and become mandatory by July 1, affecting events and the hours property on pages.

The social network will no longer require time zones to be specified in event start and end times, instead relying on users who create events to assign start and end times specific to the location of their events.

Facebook said in a post on its developer blog that it will disable the ability to return start times and end times for events from the graph application-programming interface with time zones.
