Music Discovery Platform exfm Launches iOS App: exfm is a Chrome extension that compiles all the tracks of music a consumer stumbles across as they browse the web into a single library. Now they can have mobile access to it through an iOS app. exfm has raised $1.25 million to date from Spark Capital, Betaworks, Founder Collective and Dave Morgan. Apple COO Tim Cook Spotted at China Mobile Headquarters: The visit spurred rumors that the next version of the iPhone will support the operator's 4G TD-LTE technology. Steampunk Game Ionocraft Racing Comes to iOS: This paid app, which costs $1.99 for the iPhone and $3.99 on the iPad, has players race through industrial environments where they can earn in-game currency to customize and upgrade their cars. The app was designed by Stockholm-based Fabrication Games. Chillingo Brings Powerslide Penguin and D.A.R.K. to iOS: Powerslide Penguin, which might draw comparisons to Gamevil's Air Penguin, appears to be a pinball game while D.A.R.K. is an action RPG from Krakow-based Gamelab. Powerslide Penguin is from Glasgow's Cobra Mobile. Both are on sale for $0.99. Banjo from Banjo Inc on Vimeo. Banjo App Consolidates Check-Ins From Social Networks: The app, which calls itself a discovery service, pulls in check-ins from Foursquare, Twitter and Facebook. We're not sure what the unique value of this app is considering that Facebook Places has a much larger established reach and also consolidates check-ins from other third-party apps.
