The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher Comes To The iPad

Digital publisher Sideways has released an iPad app version of Beatrix Potter’s classic The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher.

The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher: Buddy Edition uses Apple’s Game Center technology to let two people in remote locations read the story aloud together. The app also includes Sideways’ “Anigraphic Engine,” a tool that lets authors add directorial commands to their text, graphics and audio. The engine powers animated books with sound effects and voice-over narration.

Like most kids book apps, the new storybook app includes various games, as well as narration and learning to read tools in which a child can touch objects to hear the words read aloud.
