Electronic Arts has updated The Sims FreePlay with its holiday update, bringing holiday-themed events to players all month long. This update includes Christmas content, as well as a year-end celebration to ring in 2014, with plenty of new quests to complete and items to unlock.

To start the month, players who have updated their game will receive four free Christmas presents, delivered directly to their Sims’ door.

Once December 13 arrives, the ’12 Days of Christmas’ event will begin, asking players to help Santa find his Elves through the “Missing Christmas Elves” quests. If players can complete the quest before the event ends, they’ll unlock pet Reindeer for the game.

This Missing Christmas Elves quest will also give players access to new Christmas decorations for their Sims’ homes.

Finally, players can ring in the new year with the appropriately named “10… 9… 8…” quest, which unlocks for players on December 29. This New Year’s Eve quest will allow players to receive Fireworks to help celebrate the end of the year.

Outside of this update, all players in The Sims FreePlay will receive an in-game teddy bear on December 13, as the game celebrates its second anniversary.

The Sims FreePlay is available to download for free on iOS and Android devices. Check back soon to track the game on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
