The French Language Finally Has a Word for 'Sexting'

The French language is highly controlled and well protected by the Commission Générale de Terminologie et de Néologisme, otherwise known as the French grammar police, who have declared ‘textopornographie’ the official way to refer to sexually explicit texts. Until now, there were no French terms for ‘sexting,’ which meant that the lowly English word was used, but all French speakers and writers will now be officially required to only perform ‘textopornographie’ not sexting.

Other tech-centric terms like LOL have also been replaced by a French equivalent.
