Imangi Studios has released a new edition of Temple Run, the popular video game app which has had more than 170 million downloads.
Temple Run 2 includes new worlds which feature new graphics and new environments. The game has more powerups and characters have more new special powers. Temple Run 2 is free but it includes in-app purchases.
“Our main goal was to provide something that felt familiar. You immediately know how to play. You’re still running down this endless path, swiping to jump and turn and tilting,” Keith Shepherd, co-founder Imangi told The Wall Street Journal. “I think the biggest difference is that you’re running in a new world. It’s much richer and vibrant.”
This is first sequel to the original game, though Imangi released Temple Run: Brave last summer, in partnership with Disney and Pixar.
