The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research teamed up with biopharmaceutical company UCB and social performance management platform Syncapse on Facebook application Tell Us Your Story.
Members of the Parkinson’s community have until Dec. 31 to share the experiences with the disease and how it affects their lives, and UCB will donate $5 for every like or share each story receives, up to $60,000.
In addition, every donation made via Tell Us Your Story will be matched dollar for dollar as part of the MJFF’s Brin Wojcicki Challenge, bringing the potential total of funds raised to $120,000.
MJFF Chief Digital Officer Laxmi Wordham said:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is committed to expanding our online community so we can hear and engage with thousands of voices from the Parkinson’s community. The Tell Us Your Story campaign will harness inspiring voices from around the world and amplify their stories of Parkinson’s disease to raise awareness and critical funds for Parkinson’s research.
Syncapse Founder and CEO Michael Scissons added:
Finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease is a cause that hits close to home. The Syncapse team has donated its marketing expertise and innovative social technologies to empower The Michael J. Fox Foundation in its mission of raising awareness and funding for Parkinson’s research.
