Tech, Entertainment Collide on Comedy Central Web Series The Download

Comedian Jordan Rubin will host a new weekly, online-only talk show for Comedy Central, The Download, which will take a humorous look at what happens when the worlds of technology and entertainment meet.

Samsung is the series’ exclusive sponsor, and its Internet-connected Smart TV will be showcased in four episodes of The Download.

Rubin was the head writer of the MTV Movie Awards, and he wrote the opening film for the 2011 Academy Awards broadcast. He will be joined on The Download by pop-culture blogger Molly McAleer.

The guest on the debut episode of The Download (below) was actor Jerry O’Connell, and future guests will include songwriter and DJ Samantha Ronson, Beastie Boys collaborator Money Mark, comedians Morgan Murphy and Rob Delaney, and Internet sensation Justine Ezarik (iJustine).
