Last month, Teamly made the selection for the finals of the Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator at SXSW, a competition where early stage technology companies demo innovative new technology in front of influential industry judges and a live audience.

“After 9 months of beta trials with individuals and companies, large and small, I am delighted to announce our commercial launch.” Scott Allison, founder & CEO of Teamly, continued by adding that, “Businesses all around the world are enjoying the benefits of using Teamly to improve the productivity and effectiveness of their employees in a lightweight manner. We allow individuals to adopt Teamly for free, and later businesses can subscribe for our Professional plan once they have seen the value for themselves.”

The software is now used by over 6000 individuals in hundreds of companies world-wide. Since a beta launch in July 2010 more than 100,000 “priorities” (goals or objectives) have been created by Teamly’s users.

One of Teamly’s biggest accounts is Media Temple Inc. Demian Sellfors, CEO of (mt) Media Temple explains, “The leadership team needed a low friction way to keep our daily, weekly and monthly goals in sync that didn’t conflict with our personal GTD systems. Teamly has been successful where other systems have failed due to its simple, ‘Top 5’ approach and lightweight interface.”

Allison concluded by saying, “Once we close our seed round of investment we are ready to step on the gas, and fully build out our vision for Teamly, which is to be the leading software solution for managing teams in the workplace.”
