Watch Any Summer Olympics Event Live In HD On YouTube

This year, for the first time in history, YouTube will be streaming the Olympic Summer games live in HD.  YouTube viewers in the US will be able to watch any Olympic event live via or on the NBC Olympics YouTube channel.

Viewers outside of the United States can catch the games on YouTube as well.  Canadians can check out, Brazilians can tune in at or, and viewers in the 64 territories can tune in to watch the games live from London on the International Olympic Committee’s YouTube channel,

Tommy O’Hare, sports content partnerships manager at YouTube, writes on the YouTube blog, “Just bringing you the Games isn’t enough.  We want to immerse you in the action by offering full coverage of the US Teams experience, including interviews with athletes, tip from coaches and an insider’s look at the success stories from the Games.  US viewers can watch all of the behind the scenes footage on”

There will also be over 50 YouTube partners on the ground in London covering the Games.  Their videos will be compiled in a Creators Invade London playlist on YouTube.

In preparation for the Games, YouTube has launched a redesigned live streaming player.  New features include the ability to skip back to key moments and parts of the event you may have missed, and select from multiple camera angles and English or Spanish on NBC’s live stream.  You can watch on your desktop, mobile phone or tablet and even set reminders for your favorite games using the NBC Olympics Scheduler app.
