StubHub, a leading ticket marketplace, has updated its StubHub Music app on iOS, offering new Spotify integration, allowing users to sync the app with their Spotify libraries for a more personalized concert recommendation list within the StubHub Music app.
After syncing the app with Spotify, StubHub Music users will see an increasingly personalized list of concerts at their favorite venues, featuring either artists from their own playlists, or similar artists they might enjoy. Spotify premium users can stream full-length songs to learn more about these recommended acts, ensuring users can make informed decisions about the concerts they should attend next.
This update also introduces a Music News section to the app, featuring exclusive interviews, videos and more from the performers at the StubHub Music Experience, a three-day series of live music showcases at SXSW. This includes artist recommended shows and general news about the latest “goings on” at the live music festival.
This Spotify integration joins the app’s existing support for scanning one’s iTunes library. The app has more than 100,000 live event listings on any given day, so this additional information about a user’s tastes will help the app feature “more focused recommendations and notifications.”
Smita Saran, head of US Corporate Communications for StubHub, tells us:
Our team is excited to announce this app update and Spotify integration, as it speaks to StubHub’s larger 2015 vision of creating the most personalized, mobile-first experience possible for music lovers. We look forward to continuing to build and evolve to make this a reality.
StubHub Music is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
