Stribe Offers Social Networks to Websites

Stribe announced a way for Websites to add social networks that are actually on their sites, and not hosted by social-networking services like Facebook Groups and Ning, at TechCrunch50.

Stribe’s service appears as a bar on the bottom of the page, similar to the Meebo chat bar, and it is completely customizable, according to TechCrunch. And users who register on Websites’ Stribe networks become part of the overall Stribe community.

TechCrunch reported that Stribe will operate as “freemium” for the most part, but sites of a certain size will pay $10-$50 per month.
