Storify launched a significant redesign today that allows users to search the site by content element and features the top stories and user content, both on the social curation company’s home page.
The site’s more prominent search bar invites users to search social media networks to find media elements about a topic. Search results are based on “the resonance each media item has on [the] platform,” according to Storify.
The homepage also displays the top stories users are addressing. Today’s included Wal-Mart’s potential Black Friday walkout, Hurricane Sandy, the muppet Elmo and the Middle East conflict. Each topic links to a collection of relevant Storify content.
According to Storify, user profiles have also been beefed up.
