Steven Rosenbaum Encourages Curation

Filmmaker and founder of Magnify.net Steven Rosenbaum thinks the key to a good digital content experience is through curation.

In a keynote speech at the O’Reilly “Tools of Change” conference yesterday, Rosenbaum said that we need to forget about search and think about curation. “We have to kill search,” he said, highlighting the random images that came up when he searched himself, including those of women and one shot of a dog.

Instead of relying on random search results in a cluttered Internet, Rosenbaum encouraged publishers to parse information and create curated destinations where readers can go and find out about content that they’re interested in.
