State Department Continues Twitter Expansion, Creates Farsi Feed

Continuing on its trend of engaging with the Middle East via social media, the US State Department has created a Farsi Twitter feed.

@USAdarFarsi is less than 24 hours old, but it already has over 2,000 followers. It’s five tweets have all included the hashtag #25Bahman or a variation, the Persian date equivalent to February 14th, and the day that thousands of young Iranians stormed Tehran in an effort to capitalize on the recent success of the Egyptian people in ousting their former dictator, Hosni Mubarak.
