“We’re really missing something fundamental when you ask somebody a question like ‘do you like this?’” says Chris Biscoe, founder and CEO of a new social opinion graph called Squerb. “You’re not really imparting a whole lot of information.”

According to Biscoe, social analytics and engagement metrics are pretty one dimensional. There is a lot of data on likes, retweets and shares — and sometimes sentiment — but no insight into the rationale behind the sentiment.
