Music identification service SoundHound has released an infographic, revealing the most “SoundHound’ed” songs and performances from the 2015 Grammy Awards. While Sam Smith won four Grammys on music’s biggest night, users of the iOS and Android music identification app were apparently most interested in Ed Sheeran, whose song “Thinking Out Loud” was the most SoundHound’ed song of the night.
Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” also took the top spot as the most purchased song from the show, as users identified the song using the app, and then tapped to head to the store to purchase it.
In terms of Grammy performances, Ed Sheeran and ELO’s take on the 1978 classic “Evil Woman” had users identifying the song in droves, as the most SoundHound’ed performance of the night.
Thanks to her collaboration with Hozier for a mashup of “Take Me to Church” and “I Put a Spell On You,” Annie Lennox was the night’s most engaged artist, as determined by the large number of users interacting with the app during her performance. Ed Sheeran, Jeff Lynne, Hozier and Ariana Grande were also in the top five for top engaged artists.
