People Still Share Most of Their Content on Facebook (Twitter? Not so Much)

Facebook is dead, right? Wrong.

Facebook is dead, right?

Wrong, at least when it comes to sharing content, where Facebook continues to reign supreme. Indeed, according to a new study from ShareThis, Facebook’s “share of shares” grew 8.2 percent in Q4 2014, and was the only platform apart from email to record positive growth.

And for the record, sharing via email grew by 0.3 percent.

Every other social platform was used less to share content last year. Twitter fared worst of all, falling 3 percent, and now has a smaller overall slice of the pie than Pinterest.

Facebook now owns 85 percent of the mobile and 74 percent of the desktop social share space.
