Facebook’s Redesign Frenzy Continues with New Look for Pages on Desktop (AllFacebook)
The redesigns keep humming out of Menlo Park, Calif., as Facebook announced a revamp of its pages for desktop, which will begin rolling out this week, just days after revealing a new look for its News Feed. The social network also announced that the Pages to Watch feature it rolled out to select page administrators last July will now be available to all page admins in their page insights sections. Inside Facebook The right-side column of the timeline will show all the page’s posts. All posts will appear consistently, in one line, as it does on a person’s timeline and on News Feed. The left-side column will hold information about the page or business, including a map, hours of operation, phone number, website URL, photos and videos. Key indicators, such as ads running, likes, post reach and unread notifications will be in a bar off to the right of the posts. The Next Web This is further confirmation by Facebook that the previous multiple-column design was simply too confusing; the company has decided to put all posts on the right side and all other information on the left. In fact, Facebook only started to switch user profiles to the one-column design in March 2013 and finished doing so last May. The Build Audience menu at the top of the Page offers direct access to your Ads Manager account,” stated a post on the Facebook for Business blog.
