Six in 10 U.S. marketers track hits, visits and page views when evaluating the success of their social media campaigns, reveals a new study.

This metric finished top in the poll, which was conducted by McKinsey & Company alongside Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. The number of followers or friends connected to the brand was monitored by 45 percent of marketers Рup from about one quarter four years ago Рand conversion rates were analysed by just under one third.

Revenues per customer (12.5 percent, down from 17.2 percent) and profits per customer (6.0 percent, down from 9.4 percent) are both used less now than they were in 2010.
