Zya will release on phones and tablets this summer. 5th Planet Games hires Mike Thompson -- Core mobile and social games developer 5th Planet Games announced that it has hired former gaming industry journalist and Inside Social Games Lead Writer Mike Thompson as its new creative writer. Former Zynga Boston employee raises $2.25M for new game studio Proletariat -- Seth Sivak, a former lead designer from the defunct Zynga Boston office, raised $2.25 million for his new game studio Proletariat. The raised amount in equity funding appeared in an SEC filing. Proletariat's first release came back in March, with word game Letter Rush for iOS.
