Smartphones Place Hong Kong on Top of the Cyber Record

Choosing either home broadband service or a mobile device, Hong Kong people 18 years or older devote more time than any other country watching videos, gaming, shopping and sharing online, according to the BlogHer 2011 Social Media Matters Study.

People who live in Hong Kong spend more time writing and reading blogs and perusing social media sites like Facebook and Twitter than do people in other regions around the world, including the United States.

Choosing either home broadband service or a mobile device, Hong Kong people 18 years or older devote more time than any other country watching videos, gaming, shopping and sharing online, according to the BlogHer 2011 Social Media Matters Study.

 

The study reports on a weekly basis 92 percent of Hong Kong log in to Facebook, while 87 percent log on in the United States, Brazil 72 percent and Germany 58 percent.
