Smartphone and tablet game sales push Gameloft Q2 revenues up 35% year-on-year to €50.4 million

French mobile developer Gameloft posted record Q2 2012 earnings today, reporting sales of €50.4 million ($61.9 million), up 35 percent year-over-year and 12.5 percent quarter-over-quarter.

During the second quarter Gameloft’s revenue from smartphone and tablet games increased by 119 percent year-over-year. Smartphone and tablet game revenues now account for more than half of the company’s total sales. By comparison, smartphone and tablet revenues were responsible for 40 percent of Gameloft’s total revenue in Q1.

The company also highlighted the growth of its in-app purchase and advertising revenues.
