For years we’ve been hearing (and telling you) about how important it is for small businesses to embrace social media, and it looks like small businesses have been listening. According to a new survey and infographic from Manta, 90 percent of small businesses are now networking online and only a miniscule 10 percent have yet to embrace social media.
The infographic, ‘The Shift In Small Business Behavior,’ reveals findings from a study of over 600 small business owners about how they make connections and network to grow their businesses.

- Nearly a quarter (24%) of business dedicate half of their networking time to online channels
- 42% of small businesses gained a quarter of their new customers through online or social media channels
- 42% of small businesses have a Facebook presence and find it valuable
- On the flip side, 30% have a presence but don’t find it valuable and 5% had a Facebook presence but no longer did because they saw no value
