Skechers makes the leap to mobile in Twinkle Smash

Popular shoe company Skechers has partnered with Grab Games for the release of Twinkle Smash on iOS and Android devices. The game brings Skechers mascot Grace “Twinkle Toes” Hastings to life in her own match-three puzzle adventure, as players are challenged with completing levels to unlock new kinds of shoes in the Twinkle Toes line.

Each stage in Twinkle Smash has a different goal and setup, from earning a set number of points in a limited number of moves, to earning points while under a time limit. Matches are made by swapping the location of two touching gems to create a group of three or more, with larger moves adding power-ups to the board.

Matches of four or more like gems result in ribbon or rainbow gems, which can clear whole rows, columns or color types from the board, while special “L” or “T” shaped matches result in explosions for clearing small clusters of gems. Players can also purchase additional power-ups, including rainbow or explosive gems, before each level begins.

The game’s purchase options continue into its collection system, which sees players unlocking special boosters when they’ve made matches with large numbers of each kind of gem. Matching 400 ribbon gems, for instance, will unlock a skateboard booster, which causes extra ribbon gems to randomly appear in future stages. These boosters can be purchased instantly with real money, instead of waiting to unlock them for free over time.

Twinkle Smash is now available to download for free on iOS and Android. Check back soon to follow the game on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
