Facebook Experiments With Different Ways To Say ‘Share’ In Italian

Reader Veronica Gentili shared the screenshot above, in which “ripubblica” replaced “condividi” as the Italian equivalent of share.

According to Wiktionary, condividi translates as share, while ripubblica can be translated as “to republish, to reissue, to reprint.”

UPDATED: Reader Matteo Gamba of Patience noted that other Facebook users in Italy are seeing variations including:

• “pubblicalo tu” (you publish this)
• “diffondi” (spread)
• “divulga” (divulge)
• “fai circolare” (make it go around)
