Shanda BamBook Now 10% Of Chinese eReader Market

Shanda Literaure launched its first eReader in August 2010, and by the end of the year it had captured an estimated 10% of the market  in China.  While this growth is impressive, Shanda is still in a distant second place to Hanvon, which still has a 63% market share.

Shanda Literature is part of a larger group of tech companies, and had been working towards building this eReader for some time. As of May Shanda Literature had 43 million registered users in its communities, which gave it a marketing advantage when the BamBook hit the market.
