Facebook Donating 50 Laptops to Nearby High School, Conducting Class on App Creation

Sequoia High School in Redwood City, Calif., is reaping the benefits of being located near Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park.

AP reported that Facebook will donate 50 laptops to the school and conduct a class to teach students how to create their own mobile applications.

Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in an appearance at Sequoia High School, as reported by AP:

If you start with the assumption that everything in the future is going to be different than it is now, then it’s not true that anyone else knows any more than you guys do about what’s going to work in the future.
